“I like Lacta Vite™ much better than what we were using before. We used to use Perfect Prep Lactalex but Lacta Vite™ works much better. There was a huge difference and our horses’ body soreness was kept at bay. Your Quia-Cal® is also great. We had been using Total Calm and Focus but Quia-Cal® kept or horses calm and settled without being dull. They remained trainable and kept their focus.”

Virginia Godwin has been training horses since 1975. Since 1983, through her national-caliber training facility, Chesapeake Training Center, LTD located in Smithfield, VA and her devotion to the Arabian Breed, Virginia has cultivated a population of horse enthusiasts. She recently moved her training operation to Rocky Mount, NC.

Virginia takes pride in her dedication to the amateur rider and assures that her training program maintains a strong amateur presence in the show ring.  Her training is individualized for horse and rider depending on the needs of each combination. Virginia’s approach to training not only utilizes conventional methods but also capitalizes on the horse’s natural behavior and instinct to create a willingness of the horse to learn and grow.  She states, “what I enjoy most about training horses is what I learn from them, what they tell me about myself and the other people who ride them.  Horses are unpredictable.  I love that every day is a new day for each horse.”

Since 1983, Virginia and her clients have won numerous National and Regional titles in open and amateur English, Hunter, Western, Driving, Sport Horse and Dressage.  In addition to these accomplishments, Virginia was named APAHA Horsewoman of the Year in 2007 and a USEF “R” Arabian judge in 2012.  In conjunction with her training, judging and showing, Virginia also travels throughout the United States conducting clinics. She has used our products for over 3 years.
